Ohhh, I think it would make more sense if it said "my profile" but at least I know now lol, btw how can I "like" a reply? it just gives me the option to reply, I could of sworn it was there before
I like the fact that the site is functioning better now before I was having an issue with my avatar. now I'm able to upload my logo. I think the logo is okay. not sure why most don't like it. I love the slogan tho thumbs up. Everything is okay so far only issue im having is on my Mac Runing OSX High Sierra im unable to download. it get stuck halfway. is there any FIXED?
It was neccesary these updates... quite more refreshing and comfortable to look around for materials. Too simple, but i can afford that.
THE NEW SITE IS TERRIBLE.. First off all the selection is very limited now.. or at least the search doesn't pick up a lot of images.. Maybe you deleted a bunch because of legal issues.. i don't know but the selection is very slim compared to the old site as far as I can tell. Most of the time I download a file it has a .html extensions I have to delete every time I'm ready to unzip the file. I honestly would appreciate the old site back. I became a member just to complain.. sorry for the hate. Thank you for the past years of supplying pngs for us though! It's been real!
Hello I have a problem with the download the file is saved in HTML and not in ZIP ... so I can not see the psd why???
Try now! I added a couple more headers to help force the content type to the appropriate file extension.
All images from the old site were converted to the new site. That said, Safe Mode is enabled by default, so you have to login and disable Safe Mode (there's a bar telling you this at the top of every page) in order to see all of the images.
HI Like the site in general but find the download limit anoying. When i'm downloading i would like to download more then just around 10 Psd's. Please remove this and the site will be much more enjoyable. I also would like the old function back that gave suggestions about similar images.
Yes, soon. I have it set to increase rates as you participate on the site over time. That said, I am still tweaking the settings and plan to increase the limits soon.
The limits are in place to prevent abuse, which was surprisingly rampant before the new site launched. Currently, the limit is higher than 10 files even for guests and even higher for logged in members. That said, I do plan to tweak the limits soon! This is very high on my todo list. The only reason it was not in at launch was because I needed some data to work with so could create the system. You cannot just go off of image titles, descriptions, etc. because a lot of uploaders use the same or nearly the same for many images. I am also planning to change some of the sorting/filtering options for images as well to feature more popular and trending images by default. Given that everything was created from scratch, I wanted to allow some time after launch to deal with any bugs and also get some feedback before making tweaks, which will start soon!
Pros: - The website runs much faster now assuming it's either on a VPS or dedicated server now minus the spam. Cons: - Logo design (which you already know) but the slogan is corny too. Colors are fine but consider a dark theme too. - Forums are bland and do not suggest engagement. There is nothing for designers to do here like there used to be back in the day. No section for designers to upload their work for criticism and to get much-needed feedback. Having two forums for beginners and pros is absolutely needed for this board to thrive again. You will also need moderators down the road to moderate those sections so people upload to the correct section. Moderators need to be people who have established themselves in design. Overall: I am happy to see this place back on its feet and the truth is, a year ago I was going to launch my own forum because I assumed this place was dead. As long as you continue to improve the website and bring more to the forums, I will gladly post here daily and network with other designers in the community. WE NEED A PLACE LIKE THIS! Social media has dumbed down everything and here we have focused driven interactivity. Salute to you!
