I know everyone hates change, including me, but it was time for OfficialPSDs to be upgraded! The new OP site was developed by me specifically for OP which means I will be able to continue to add features and grow the site in the future. I spent the last few weeks working non-stop on the new site, so I am really hoping you enjoy it and are as excited about it as I am! I would like to hear your thoughts and opinions on the new site!
I like the new site but I don't like the new logo at all (to be honest lol) but as long as the new site is functional and serves it's purpose (downloading psds) that's all that matters, one of the best things was when you updated the servers because it was horrible for a long time, thanks for taking over.
Thank you for the kind words! .. and I agree, I don't like the logo either I have a designer friend working on a new one though, so it should be updated soon. As you said, most people want the site to be functional, and that's always my focus on all of my projects. I still have some tweaking to do and more features to add, but the launch has been quite smooth so far given how much there is to the site, especially underneath, and that it was all developed from scratch. I do hope to see the community start to grow eventually, but it will take time I am sure.
Site is impressive, not the logo (Too Kidish). Not sure if the forum is fully functional cause some of the them seems like you can not comment. But a forum is definitely cool.
The logo will be replaced soon The old site was hit hard by spammers, so I have created a tiered access system to help me prevent spammers from flooding this site. They have already tried in fact just since the launch. Initially, I am moderating every poster's posts and I am limiting access to mainly replies, but as you participate in the site, you'll get upgraded to higher level access both on the live site and the forums as well.
It's the title I assigned to users who were converted from the old site for recognition. I may change it in the future. It will matter more to users in the future assuming the community grows. I am also going to re-theme the forums as some point to provide a little less "blah" feel to them and a little more atmosphere. I didn't want to get too caught up right now because it would have added to the launch time and it was important to get the new site online as soon as possible.
Okay I got into my old account. This is Hazrd so disregard that last post. The new site looks great by the way. I like the green background for all the uploads. Shows if it's a bad cut or not as to where the old you couldn't really tell. Thanks! If Possible could that account be deleted and this one changed to Hazrd? Thanks again.
Thank you! Do you have plans for bringing back the Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced sections for feedback as well? I'm very glad you bought OP and bringing it back. Nostalgia like crazy.
I am open to creating any forums that enough people want and will use. I just know from experience running many forum sites over the years that having too many forums, especially early on, can greatly limit posting by spreading out discussions and making the decision of which forum to post in more difficult. In fact, the number of forums I have already created are a bit too much in my opinion. Hopefully though, as more members see the new site they'll get more interested in the community. I have several ideas for the community aspect of the site once a community starts to form and grow, but for now, I am trying to keep things simple.
great site I love new sleek look but your logo is wack bro .... lol and im having downloading files ...... lol slowing my work down .....
It's clean, moves faster. . . We all can't wait til you upgrade that logo lol Could you please add infinite scroll and add categories so it'll be easier to search for things. #BritBratGfx
There are categories, just no actual category menus right now. You can filter your feed by category as well. For now, if you want to view images by category, mouse over the image thumbnails and the category they are in will show. You can also search for images that you know fit a category to help get the categories you want. It's not perfect, but it should help until there is a category list added. As for infinite scroll, I already created support for it. I just haven't enabled it as it needs more testing. It will be enabled soon though!
